“The lunch was amazing. I came away with a lot of information that is very timely for our market. Thank you.”
“As a support business to the food industry the contacts I made were invaluable. This conference gives hope for the future of the food industry in Ontario. Good job on the organization, a lot of hard work that is appreciated.”
“Excellent opportunity to build business relationships.”
“Please continue doing this.”
“Made some connections for seed supply. Thank you.”
“Contacts for sales, introductions to individuals who have been through procedures or processes that we will need to go through shortly (licensing and government regulations).”
“Received some advice on how to attract a grocery/food outlet to our downtown from a downtown grocer. Some of our local businesses who attended made some connections with potential local growers of their products.”
“Great visit with Mentor, Elaine Flook, very helpful.”
“The local food events that I attend are
as much about making contacts and
developing relationships as they are
about education. In the seven years that
we’ve worked on expanding our local
food offering, all but three of our
local suppliers who are farther than
25km from Kemptville I’ve met through
OMAFRA or at one of their sponsored
events.”
