Biography

Jennifer Stevenson

Originally from Montreal, Jennifer completed a Bachelors of Commerce (Statistics) at Concordia

University. Upon completion, she started a micro-computer consulting business, which was sold

to a European corporation two years later. She then obtained a commercial pilot’s license and

began a business specializing in providing tourist flights in the Montreal area. Subsequent to this,

she moved to Toronto, and later joined Deutsche Bank Canada as Assistant Vice-President of

Information Technology. In 1996, she became Vice-President and Director. After obtaining a

level 1 CFA, she joined the Deutsche Bank New York Global Markets Derivatives Trading

Team as Trading Assistant. She later became Vice-President, Global Markets Derivatives

Trading, responsible for Canadian dollar interest swaps, forwards, futures and cross market

trading. She left Deutsche Bank in 2002 in order to raise a family. In 2003, she and her husband

purchased a pick-your-own orchard and market garden, and although the farm is no longer

operational, she her husband and four children continue to live there. She joined OMAFRA in

August 2010 as Business Finance Program Lead in the Business Management Unit.
