Michael is the owner of Seed to Sausage. During Michael’s 10 year career in the military he was able to travel through various regions of the world. Being so passionate about food he was able to eat and taste much of the world. Later in Michaels career, while being posted in Kingston he couldn’t help but notice a lack of artisan salami so Michael started to make it in the garage of his west end home. After his first child was born he decided to leave the military and start Seed to Sausage. Setting up in Sharbot Lake between Ottawa and Kingston he put together a provincially inspected processing plant with a tiny budget and zero experience in the industry. The goal being to set an example of how we can make better food more accessible. Michael and Seed to Sausage have won a number of awards and can be found in many of the finest restaurants in Canada.
