Shereen is a Senior Policy Advisor with the Strategic Policy Branch at the Ontario Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change. Since 2012, Shereen has been leading and supporting a number of key policy files for the ministry, including: leading the implementation and reporting on Climate Ready: Ontario’s Adaptation Strategy and Action Plan working closely with partner ministries in government and across sectors in the province; supporting the implementation of regulatory amendments under the Pesticides Act; and more recently supporting the development of the Pollinator Health Action Plan. Currently Shereen is leading the development of the Ontario’s new Climate Change Adaptation Plan.
Shereen has over 9 years of progressive program management and policy delivery experience in both the private consulting industry and public sector specializing in environmental issues and is passionate about developing good public policy and delivering recommendations that balance social, economic, and environmental factors. Shereen has a Masters in Public Administration and Law from York University and a Bachelor of Environmental Studies from the University of Waterloo
